It integrates intuition, ethics, empathy, facts and curiosity to unlock new horizons of possibility"

CAPE TOWN STATION 2030

CAPE TOWN

This project is the long term development of the Cape Town Station Precinct. This exciting development involves sinking the existing railway lines underground, thereby enabling the redevelopment of land and exploiting air rights. The space will  allow for mixed-use developments including office space, affordable compact housing, educational facilities and public open spaces. This would improve the integration of key neighbourhoods such as District Six, Woodstock, the Foreshore and Culemborg with the CBD, to transform the city. It is the first undertaking of its kind in Africa.

THUSONG SERVICE CENTRE

KHAYELITSHA, CAPE TOWN

The award winning Thusong Services Centre is amongst the most exposed to the public realm. It stands alone in its current context and is intended as a prototype and catalyst to ignite an imagined future civic scaled town centre for the sprawling township of Khayelitsha. The building exudes energy, hope, and a future deserving of complimentary neighbours, music, people, the young and alive. It is a prime example of our belief: great architecture is a basic human right!

2009 CIFA Award of Merit.
